Māori Community Development Act 1962 – consultation on its future

The Government has announced it is consulting the public on the future of the Māori Community Development Act 1962.

“It’s time for Māori to have a say on the Act’s future, the role of pan Māori organisations and Māori community development in general,” said the Minister of Māori Affairs Dr Sharples in launching the consultation.

Consultation hui will be held across September 2013. Written feedback can be given by the end of September.
