Who we are

The Māori Law Review is a monthly review of law affecting Māori, the indigenous people of Aotearoa New Zealand. Tom Bennion started the Review in December 1993. Since 2012 it has been published by Māori Law Review Limited. Tom remains as a consultant editor to the Review.

What we offer our Online Māori Law Review and Print and Online Māori Law Review readers

The Māori Law Review has grown beyond its original print edition. New developments can be reported online during the course of each month. Our online readers don't have to wait for the print edition to arrive or be circulated around colleagues.

The range of content reported online at the Māori Law Review is broader than what we can fit into the monthly print edition. While the most significant developments will be reported in the print version, online readers have the added benefit of further reports on cases and other developments. This particularly benefits those readers who want to keep up to date on a wider range of Māori Land Court decisions and Waitangi Tribunal rulings.

We recognise that you and your staff want online access to the Māori Law Review whether you are at your desk or using a mobile device.

Individual log in for your people

Once you purchase either our Online Māori Law Review or Print and Online Māori Law Review email us at subscriptions@maorilawreview.co.nz to tell us who else from your organisation will have the same subscriber rights as you. This can be for up to 100 people from your organisation who have an email address @ your domain. We will then email your colleagues with their personal login details for Māori Law Review.

IP-level access - no need to log in at work

Organisations with 100 or fewer people can have IP-level access to our website for no extra charge.

After subscribing, provide your IP addresses to us (subscriptions@maorilawreview.co.nz) so that everyone from your organisation can access the Māori Law Review while they are at your premises without having to log in individually. (Users will still log in when accessing the website from other places and from mobile devices.)
