Re-launch of the Māori Law Review

On 3 October 2012 the Faculty of Law at Victoria University of Wellington hosted a function to celebrate the re-launch of the Māori Law Review and the Review's association with the Faculty.

Guest speakers Māori Land Court Deputy Chief Judge Caren Fox and the Honourable Justice Joseph Williams addressed the gathering. Pro-Vice Chancellors Professor Piri Sciascia and Professor Tony Smith spoke on behalf of the University.

The Review's re-launch was publicised by Victoria University of Wellington, Law News and in NZ Lawyer Extra.

In addition, Victoria University law student Laura Lincoln was presented with her prize for her winning essay in the Sir Edward Taihakurei Durie essay competition sponsored by the Māori Law Review. Her essay was published in the February 2012 issue of the Māori Law Review.
