The claimants alleged that the Crown did not sufficiently involve or consider Te Rūnanga Nui or Kura Kaupapa Māori in the Tomorrow's Schools review and reform process, which took place from 2018 to 2022. The Waitangi Tribunal conducted an urgent inquiry into the claim.
