 Tiana is the President-elect of the New Zealand Law Society. She has been a partner in her firm, specialising in criminal defence and general litigation. She was appointed a Youth Advocate In 2015. She currently sits on the New Zealand Law Society Board as Vice President for the Central North Island. In 2018 she was appointed counsel to assist the Coroner in a joint inquest in the East Coast region. Tiana was previously the President for the Gisborne branch of the New Zealand Law Society. She has also served as a member of the New Zealand Law Society’s Criminal Law Reform Committee and the external committee to the Legislative Design Advisory Council.
