Keeley Peachey – 2023 student editor of the Māori Law Review

Keeley is of Ngati Porou descent. She grew up in Palmerston North. In 2023 she is a 5th year LLB and Bachelor of Arts student majoring in International Relations and Political Science. Keeley has a deep passion for Māori Kaupapa and International Relations with an interest in the indigenous law and how tikanga is developing in the legal system.

Spending the summer of 2022/23 working at the Waitangi Tribunal furthered Keeley’s passion for wanting to gain more experience in Māori kaupapa.

After university, Keeley aims to gain experience in foreign affairs to represent Aotearoa overseas and further advocate for indigenous nations.
